Dear SJU Art & Design Students,
***PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY***
Welcome to the submission site for the 2021 BFA Exhibition. We're thrilled to announce that this year the Yeh Art Gallery will host an in-person exhibition!
Because of the circumstances regarding Covid-19, this year's submission jurying process will once again be online. We welcome you to submit up to 4 works of art for the exhibition. Please be certain to include proper caption information along with your submission, including title, your name, instagram handle, dimensions, and materials. Triptychs, Diptychs, etc. should be submitted as one file. Submitted works must have been completed during Fall '20 and Spring '21.
***IMPORTANT: For the BFA Exhibition, you will need to create a SEPARATE application for each individual work you'd like to submit.***
Please enter the title of the work under the "application title" section of the submission form.
Since this year's exhibition will also be hosted online via sjuartgallery.org, please note proper documentation of your work is very important.
SPECIAL CURATED SECTION: Since this is the 150th Anniversary of St. John's University's founding, we will host a special curated section within the BFA exhibition called "Faithful to the Mission: Art in the Vincentian Tradition." Works in this section will relate to the core values of St. John's: truth, love, excellence, opportunity, and service, as well as social justice. If you would like your work to be considered for this section, please indicate so in the space provided.
REMOTE STUDENTS: if you would like your work to be physically printed, please indicate so in the space provided.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, April 16 at 11:59PM
DROP OFF: If you work is accepted, you MUST drop off your work between Wednesday, April 21 and Friday, April 23, between 11am-4pm. No exceptions.
"OPEN HOUSE" RECEPTION: Tuesday, May 11 from 1-5pm.
